Status
Kolas Honorstrike is a human sorcerer (5) who lives in Candlekeep and works for the Keeper's Hand. He is one of four members of his party and is played by starrich in the premade campaign Candlekeep Mysteries.

Appearance
Kolas is a human man of average height and a more muscular build. He has wavy brown hair and his brown eyes have a fiery glint to them. His hands are calloused from the amount of times he uses his fire magic in a day.
Kolas always seems to have multiple layers on. He wears a white dress shirt with an unbuttoned red vest with golden accents. A long black formal coat covers those layers and a red cape with golden accents covers his back. Brown pants cover his legs and darker brown boots covers his feet and lower calves.
As a teenager, Kolas had the sides of his head shaved and his hair very short and swept in a side part opposite of his current part. He also had a clean-shaven face when he was younger.
At the beginning of the Candlekeep Mysteries campaign, his hair had long grown out from the shaved side. He had a side part and somewhat short hair, though not as short as he kept it when he was younger.
By the time Kolas confessed his feelings to Bayou, his hair had grown out long enough that it peeked out from behind his ears.
Personality
As a young boy, Kolas was a curious boy who usually kept to himself. He would often travel out of the house alone and explore the surrounding area, examining the plants and local wildlife. As Kolas grew older, a more bossy side of him developed as he learned to keep his siblings in line. Although he did tend to boss them around, he truly cares for them. Kolas, although he inherited his father's anger issues, found himself able to control them through training. This led him to come off as more collected and in tune with his emotions than he truly ever was. Instead, he actually tends to surpress them by distracting himself.
By the time Kolas was kicked out of the house, he came off as more of a soldier hardened by training than a teenager excited to explore the world. Kolas still tended to keep to himself, but came off as more cold than quiet and curious. Kolas never was interested in making friends; he was more interested in earning his wings and going home as soon as possible. Because of this, Kolas became more and more distant and detached from the world and more and more angry with himself as years passed and he'd still not earned his wings.
By the time the events of Candlekeep Mysteries started, Kolas was not interested in joining an adventuring party. But, an invite from a changling and dragonborn opened a new gate: a new possiblity to earn his wings. Kolas, even though he had a party now, still kept to himself and was not interested in interacting with either of the party members he was following.
Kolas changed drastically with the help of his party members. Kolas slowly changed from cold and distant to more quiet and thoughtful. His cold-hearted nature thawed and was replaced with a more perceptive and insightful nature.
Kolas is a human who was born to a larger family. He is the eldest of the generation and has five younger siblings. Kolas grew up with a weight on his shoulders placed by his father and past generations. As the eldest, he was expected to train heavily and train daily to become a powerful sorcerer at a young age. When Kolas was twelve, he'd been training for two years when his dad pulled him aside and explained that it was time for his back to be branded as his father's and ancestor's backs were. Kolas was very hestitant to have his back burned, but he eventually caved in. His father went through with the family ritual of burning two parallel lines down the children's backs right where their wings would eventually sprout.
The day Kolas turned sixteen, he was kicked out of the family manor. He'd been preparing for that day for the past six years by training daily and pushing himself to the limit so that he would quickly earn his wings and be back in the manor as quickly as possible. But, more than twenty years have passed since then and Kolas has still not earned his wings. Sometime when Kolas was 25, he met Woox Figcrackle and Vixul Zorprax, and together they ventured to the city of Candlekeep.
Helm of Comprehending Languages
After the party successfully got the Candlekeep Library's books back from the Amberdune in their adventure with Mazfroth's Mighty Digressions, they were rewarded with a helm of comprehending languages. Kolas was insistent that he would be the one to hold onto it. He hasn't used it at all, but he hasn't found the time to give it to Zorprax to put it into the bag of holding they own.
Goggles of Night
Sometime during the party's adventure with the book A Deep and Creeping Darkness, Kolas found a pair of goggles of night in an abandoned town. This pair of goggles have gotten much use during the party's adventures from Kolas since he is human and does not have darkvision.

Bayou Pebblestep
Kolas and Bayou's relationship was a bit rocky at first. Bayou made their prejudice against dragons and dragonborn very clear, so Kolas tended to avoid being alone with Bayou for extended periods of time. But, seeing Bayou's innocent curiousity of the world around them and their bright, bubbly personality, Kolas began to find himself drawn to the water genasi. Within a month or so, Kolas began to develop feelings for the water genasi, but it took another couple of months to act on them. After the party's adventure with The Price of Beauty, Kolas finally confessed his feelings to Bayou and the two starting officially dating.
