Pestle and Mortar

To call Pestle and Mortar master alchemists is an understatement; their skills are legendary, especially in the criminal underworld. They're difficult to track down, but they tend to attract those with no one else to turn to. The prices for their potions are... unconventional, and not exactly inexpensive, but still very generous for what you get. Even the few who find them know very little of them other than their mastery of alchemy, which allows them to change their appearance on a whim. Though their names are Pestle and Mortar, they delight in never revealing which is Pestle and which is Mortar. The one constant, distinguishing feature that they keep is their eyes, and the eyepatches they wear. One has a blue eye and a red eyepatch, embossed with a golden sun emblem, and the other has a red eye and a blue eyepatch, embossed with a silver moon emblem. It is unknown what lies under their eyepatches; many suspect that they are both heterochromatic, or simply capable of changing their eye color, and switch eyepatches to prevent anyone from ever telling them apart. The secret of who, or even what, they are is known only to them, and perhaps their daughters, Chroma and Mona.
