Torryn hides behind a curtain made off jokes and silly comments.

Freedom is very important to her. Which is why she works mostly against those who sell slaves. Shows no mercy when it comes to slave merchants. Doesn`t hesitate to kill blood mages who used their powers for something sinister.

Tends to take justice into her own hands, since its a very flexible term in her vocabulary, which usually gets her into fights with Aveline. Has also not much respect for authorities.

Is a little bit greedy and prefers saving money than spending it. She wants to support her family with every Sovereign there is.

She usually want's to get compensated for her work , but there were times when she would refrain from charging money. Especially when it helped the mages, for example when she kept the secret of Thrasks daughter. She does help Thrask another time, even without asking for coin.

  • Torryn is a trickster who doesn't take much serious
  • Torryn doesn't like donating, since is used to work for her coin ( other than Lysanna ). Instead of giving money away for free she often offers a deal, by buying something from the person which's asking.

  • Her first encounter with a Tranquil was, when she helped Anders. Scared of the possible fate which could hit her, when the templars get her, she suggested not to kill him. She hoped that there would be some kind of cure. Facing it was very difficult for her.

  • She is insultingly bad at flirting.
  • Ironically she believes in the maker.

  • She is also pretty merciless.









History
Past


Dragon Age: 2

  • She worked for Athenril when coming to Kirkwall. This helped her shape a few contacts with the thieves and smugglers around the city. She choose so, because Athenril offered to protect her sister from the Templars. During this time she kept low and with the help of the smuggler leader she could stay out of the Templars sight for very long. Their partnership came to an end when Torryn gave away the goods for the Fereldian kid.

  • Had struggle adapting to the city, but after a year she started to like it. Since she lost her sister to the blight the horrors outweighed the homesickness. Compared to Lysanna, who is a Fereldener through and through.  

  • Since the writing in this game is super cringy when it comes to love options for Anders, I might make everything a bit more serious for them. Anders really struggles accepting her affection.

  • Worked much in order to stop slavery in Kirkwall.

Aftermath

  • Fled from Kirkwall in the company of Anders.
  • His seizures came more regular and he suffered from the voices of Justice and the Darkspawn. Due his actions he started to question himself, becoming more and more fragile.

  • Torryn tries to find a way how to separate Justice from Anders while taking care of him.  

  • Anders later on splits up with her and even though it hurt she was glad. 
  • Joins the chargers later
