Elder brother of Marblequill

Howlthorn has an almost unnerving presence, often leaving their clanmates too intimidated to approach him. This isn't helped by the lack of an eye– the result of a border scuffle from his apprentice days. 

He is very protective over his sister, Marblequill, and was relieved to see her go into medicine cat training; she won't be hurt if she's responsible for healing. He bears some resentment towards her mentor, Falconfade, as he was the medicine cat in charge of tending to his eye wound, but has warmed up slightly after seeing Marblequill's progress under his watch.
