Imori is a mystic being who hunts down on those with "heavy souls" or perhaps just senses a certain combination of stress chemicals and neurotransmitters that guide it towards a terrified prey.
While no other villager mob or paranormal investigation group has ever been capable of catching him, Lucy' particular aura both attracted and repelled him at once, making it so he lurks around for a while before being "adopted" as a sort of business pet. It spends most of it's days sin a light sleep near the heating vent or hunting whatever small ghoul manages to roam around the facility. He's also extremely useful in maintaining intruders out.
