Papavero manifests himself when Sasha and Loto's souls collide, this contaminates Sasha's soul but not completely to make him 100% damned, to be considered one a person should make an unforgivable sacrifice, therefore he is on par with Annibale.
He inherited the draconic strength from Loto, combined with Sasha's irascible nature makes him a very fearsome opponent. In his first manifestations he does not seem to have any moral or in general a conscience, he behaves like an animal, he cannot distinguish opponents from friends, this is due to the collision between the souls of the parasite and the victim.
With the advancement of Loto in Sasha's psyche, Papavero seems to acquire intelligence, independence, acquiring a very cynical and careless character, he does not share the memories of the two therefore he has different motivations from theirs, the only person he treats with a certain respect is Vladimir, is like he feel something or someone is trying to protect him. His manifestation can help Sasha to defeat enemies strong enough, but over time he begins to become more and more demanding, showing himself only with agreements.
Although all the "damned" are black as coal, he has a distinct blood red color, this is due to the fact he's still a human and his hair grows directly on open muscles, so the hair is continuously soaked in blood, in the thick mane there are also nerves and veins hidden, cutting them however does not kill him since they regenerate by themselves.
