He couldn’t even hit her once.

“Would you say your life was well served?” Launa asked him. She panted still, but her eyes were dark. No emotions lay underneath.

The sheltered Dragonkin girl who let others lead her life was nowhere to be seen.

A pure raging dragon replaced her.

Aster squeaked a response I couldn’t hear.

Launa laughed a vile laugh. “I didn’t hear that.” With a shrug, she said, “Oh well.”

Meet Launa - the level-headed, duel sword bearing main character of the third installment, A Dragon's Kin. Her "species" is called a Dragonkin, a rare race of people who harness heightened abilities and can occasionally inherit the special powers specific to the dragons (i.e. Forever Elements - in her case, the Fire Dragon King's Forever Fire). She travels with Pey and Grian.
