Growing up, Ace was raised by both of his parents. During his early adolescence his parents were still together and fought very rarely. For Ace's 6th birthday they bought him a scooter. He fell off one day and scraped his knee so bad it left a barely noticeable scar.

As Ace began to grow older his parents decided they wanted to move into a bigger house and expand their family. During the first 4 months of his mother's pregnancy it was perfect, everything was sunny and happy.

However, at the 6th month his mother miscarried. His parents did not notice until they went to the doctor's for a checkup. Following this loss, Ace's mother fell into a deep depression, causing her healthy relationship with Ace and his father to faulter.

Eventually, his parents got a divorce and decided to see other people but decided to still remain living together for Ace. They lived together until Ace was 14.

After a childhood of being misunderstood and scolded for his odd behavior Ace finally graduated highschool. He had some friends but due to his blunt and snarky attitude he didn't have many friends. His positive outlook on life had faded and he gained a distaste for other people often immediately assuming they were all horrible.

He got into hookups as a way to coped but after a while he got bored and just focused on working, before he quit and met his roommate Clarisse. When Ace met Clarisse she was extremely odd and unstable, she would be dismissive and cold to him. This entertained Ace as nobody had ever been outwardly rude to him before or seen him as an equal rather than being intimidated by him. Eventually after months of living together Clarisse finally opened up to Ace. Not knowing what to say for once, Ace simply acted.

"I'll match scars with you Clarisse. You'll feel better if someone else looks odd with you, right?"
