Overview: A sorceress who serves as a mentor for Maxwell (the Chomp King).

Background: She was never truly a member of the Koopa Troop, believing that Bowser’s army was/is incompetent and lacks respectability. Rather, she works in solitude, and is a bit of a drifter. She has made residence in a small hut in the darkest corner of the Forest of Illusion, where she practices sorcery and alchemy. She is well read, spending hours referring to sacred texts which withhold the secrets of magic and its place in the universe. With this knowledge she has perfected her craft, giving her the ability to shapeshift, transmute objects, instill spells and curses on people, and create things which affect those who interact with them on a psychological and emotional level. (Idk if I worded that very well oops)

Appearance: Artemis is a magikoopa who wears an iridescent cloak and wields a silver scepter with a large rounded opal on the end. She also wears glasses (of course), earrings reminiscent of a white sparkle, dark purple shoes, and a ruby ring on her right hand. Her cloak shimmers in any amount of light, and her presence is often accompanied by wispy spectral flames which glow in blues, purples, and pinks.

Personality: By nature she is calm and well-spoken, but she holds true to wickedness and deception, and should never be underestimated. She is deceptively kind and endearing, and also quite charismatic. Her call is like that of a siren; she so easily touches the hearts and souls of those around her, leading the affected to believe that she feels genuine care and devotion to them, perhaps to fall in love even. It’s important to understand, though, that her actions are largely fueled by self-interest, and she is no stranger to manipulation. She is not outwardly malicious by any means, but this false facade leans into her conniving nature.
