Junichirou is a royal knight who gets chosen to be in knight captain D's trusted squad of knights. He had wanted to be a knight from a young age, a dream his family reluctantly supported. He is unaware of falling in love with D at first sight, he thinks his feelings are more platonic than romantic. He doesn't even dream of keeping D to himself, knowing his captain's heart belongs to the crown prince, he's satisfied with whatever D wants to give him, even if it never goes beyond a purely physical relationship.
He does have a hard time adjusting to not being with him when D decides to stop seeing him and the rest of his knights for sex about a year before Boutarou's crowning but his dearest Yamato comes to visit him often to give him his support and whatever he needs. Despite all this he can't help shedding tears when Boutarou gets crowned and they announce their marriage a year later.
Fortunately for him D can't manage to forget about him either despite being in love with Boutarou, he has to tell his darling about his knight. After a heavy conversation Boutarou tells D he wants to get to know Jun so they start seeking his company more and more often, taking him on dates, which Jun is convinced are just him escorting the two of them on their dates. Boutarou ends up really liking him so they tell him they want to take him as their boyfriend but in classic himbo fashion the whole conversation flies above Jun's head, he's not aware of their new relationship status until weeks later. When he finally realizes he couldn't be happier to be with the both of them.
