Reika Amami-Toujou is the daughter of Kirumi and Rantaro, born in Cherrygrove City in the middle of January. As a baby, she grew a special attachment to Pokémon as she was always around them. Reika was super close to Rantaro’s childhood Eevee, Buttercup, and viewed him as an older brother. Kirumi’s Gardevoir and Gallade are also close to her, and they communicate with Reika telepathically when she’s unable to speak.
When she was old enough, Reika assisted in the daycare. She typically fed the Pokémon in the sanctuary or gave them baths. Reika adores the thought of becoming a Pokémon breeder like her parents, but unsure if that’s her true calling at the moment. She began travelling across regions at fourteen years old, bringing three Pokémon with her, and travels with Miyuki and Kiyome.

All her Pokémon are nicknamed after desserts and baked goods. All her Pokémon wear black bow ties.
Brûlée the Hisuian Typhlosion — F — Timid
Reika’s first Pokémon and raised by Kirumi’s Empoleon and Rantaro’s Meganium. She’s very timid and hides behind her trainer often, but grows violent whenever Reika or her teammates are in danger.
Sherbet the Vulpix — F — Mild
Sherbet is the first Pokémon that she cared for. Reika found her injured and took her to the daycare to get treated. After recovery, the Vulpix decided to stay.
Orchid the Umbreon — F — Quiet
The first Pokémon that Reika raised and hatched from an egg. From Eevee on, they have lots of staring contests. Orchid is usually Reika’s eyes when she’s staring at everything around her / getting distracted.
Butterscotch the Giratina — X — Lonely
Sometimes you gotta befriend the Pokémon that cursed your mother’s side of the family for years. Butterscotch isnt in a Pokémon and appears whenever needed. It’s unknown how Reika was able to calm it.
