This steadfast hold on her convictions helps her to power through adversity, which in some ways can comfort her when it’s all she has, but it can also rewrite the narrative so it can align with her worldview. It’s during these times she can become pushy, overbearing, and insecure.

Background
Rin had an incredibly normal upbringing, and was in no short amount of attention. Her father was a curator at a local museum, her mother was a stay-at-home until she went back to school, but even then she had her older brother to amuse her despite their differences in age. Childhood for Rin was becoming fast friends with that girl at the park one day only to never see her again, an enthusiasm for learning, ballet in the afternoon, and the sound of her brother’s voice lulling her to sleep.
The pitfalls of her parents’ marriage become more apparent. It manifests as nothing but an uneasy feeling she isn’t sure what to do about. How long had it been like that?
Talking with her brother made the divorce less of a surprise, and because her dad was the one with a stable job, she ended up living with him. Adolescent life continued as normal, the separation had little effect on her day-to-day activities. It was intentionally made like that through the efforts of her parents, and as such, she could not bring herself to hate them. She still loves them both very much, and it would take a long time for her to realize she can still love them despite their shortcomings as each other’s partners and her providers.
