WEB-RIDER
It's time its time. Not a spidersona, just an oc. Also SORRY its another biker I'm sofgriknbr
Age 20-something
Gender male (he/him)
Role hero
Height 5'7
Value $0
Personality

Spontaneous, lively, supportive.

Becoming a 'superhero' was not something he'd expect to be doing. He was and still is a rebel at heart. Helping people is quite rewarding but very demanding and he's treating it like a casual job shift.

  • bikingggg
  • night-time
  • adrenaline rushes
  • racing video games
  • tanky 'villains'
  • realising he has no vehicle anymore
  • skin-tight suits
Background

Crashed near the Alchemax building and landed in a bush where the escaped net-casting spiders crawled into his gear and bit his back a bunch. Didn't work there or anything. Was just playing around (trespassing) on the property's big open roads with his friend. Found out he had powers after waking up the next day and he was stuck to his bed lmao.

He does that manoeuvre in his ref very often. Bike explodes and always forgets how long it takes to get a new one. So he goes to scrap yards a lot and buys awful second-hand bikes to fix up. He will ride literally anything. Apart from that, the city recognises his abilities and provides him with a custom sportbike to help him work, which lasts maybe a few weeks at most before they need to start manufacturing a new one.

Oh um Alchemax might be after him to find out what their spiders did to his body exactly. And to fine him for trespassing. He keeps his identity a secret because he figures someone would be searching for him.

Design Notes

  • Helmet visor acts like conjoined eyes. They can emote!
  • The colours on the visor are reflections from the tinting.
  • Has 6 'spikes' going down back. They're little gadgets that let him split the webs in half at will.
Trivia

  • Abilities: Sticky, spider-sense, increased strength, durable
  • Unique Abilities: Organic web shooters (spine), night vision
  • Developed light sensitivity after getting night vision, so unfair.
  • Spine web shooters are cool until you need to propel forward. He formed these very weird mid-air movement habits which seem to work, but biking is easier.
  • The web splitting gadgets are helpful for balance and the forward propulsions.
  • I'm thinking of giving him some arm tech that catches the split webs from his neck and shoots them wherever he aims after, but that's for when he's smart enough...
  • Monet art in the moodboard bc his visor just reminds me of his art. It was drilled into my head first year of uni as well so
