Lanky short-haired cat. On the smaller end like most of his family but is finally a bit taller than his brother, Obsidianskies. Used to be all black but vitiligo has spread to much of their body. Has ice blue eyes, several scars including a prominent one by their ear and one across their chest.

Used to be very snarky and sarcastic, a gossip and shit-stirrer for the sheer enjoyment of it. The hard facts of life have since sanded off the worst of these tendences and left a more depressed and anxious invidual behind. He still takes enjoyment from the occasional verbal spar with a cat he doesn't get along with but ever since stepping into a position of responsibility and becoming a parent, he's begun to bite his own tongue. He's gooey and lovey with his family, especially his kittens whom can do no wrong in his eyes.

Born into BloodClan alongside brother Obsidianskies and sister Cinnamonkit. Cinnamonkit and their mother, Inkspots, were taken by a bad case of greencough that nearly claimed Sablestep as well. Obsidianskies took care of him and became a neat-freak for fear of losing his only family at just a few months old. When they were made apprentices, Sablestep decided he wanted to join the newly announced Scout rank and convinced Obsidianskies to do the same.

Faced many hardships during apprenticehood, and was eventually picked up as a Scout medic under Plague Doctor Amnesty just before an outbreak of bloodcough severely weakened the Clan. While everyone else was sick and dying, treating the sick and dying, or keeping healthy in the backup camp, Sablestep had been hiding in the attic hiding his own symptoms for fear of having it himself.

When their cohort was promoted to warriors, Sablestep chose to be a scout. They didn't remain so for long however, as Amnesty summoned them to her side to be her new Plague Nurse in the wake of her previous apprentice's disappearance. Together with Obsidianskies, the brothers would care for their Clan through treason, raids, and more.

A tumultuous year followed which saw Sablestep become a parent twice over, lose a love and best friend, cut contact with Obsidianskies, and eventually become the King of the Clan.
