Brisk Summer Breeze, or Breeze for short, was the mother of A King’s Laugh in an Empty Chamber. She raised him alone in a cottage by the sea and loved him dearly. She didn’t have much, but gave all she could to provide for him and give him a happy childhood.

She was known locally for her kind spirit, gentle soul, and beautiful singing voice. She used her talents in music to teach the local children (or anything who was interested) singing and flute lessons, including her own son who she taught from a young age.

Unfortunately, her name alluded to her short life, and she passed away far too young, leaving her son without any parents. Luckily, a local woodcrafter heard of her passing and stepped in to raise King on her behalf.
