Eris is an earth pony with a bold attitude. Growing up, she spent her time with childhood friends who eventually formed a gang of thieves. After a long, heartfelt discussion with the crew, she decided to leave and focus on herself instead of their reckless activities. Now, Eris is trying to catch up on the experiences she missed during her teenage years.

Backstory

Eris was a troubled child. Her parents weren't to blame; she simply fell in with a bad crowd. In fact, she was often the bad influence. She mostly hung out with boys because they were interested in the same reckless activities as she was. Eris's former girlfriends distanced themselves from her after witnessing her behavior. Initially, her crew engaged in minor delinquency, like vandalizing walls with spray paint and shoplifting. She eventually started dating one of the group's leaders, Eros. As the crew got older, their plans became more audacious. They decided to rob a bank, notoriously difficult to target, drawn by the challenge. Eris served as the distraction in the main lobby, while Eros and some others navigated the vents, and the rest waited in the getaway car. The robbery was successful, but Eris struggled to rejoin the crew, nearly caught by the police. Spotting the getaway car, she ran for it, and Eros helped her in. Eventually, Eris realized the crew had no good intentions and decided to leave, prompting Eros to follow. They focused on building their relationship. Later, Eris found a steadfast friend in Pheme, who has been by her side ever since.

• Quick Thinkers – Eris has flexible mind and is able to shift from idea to idea with little effort, drawing on her accumulated knowledge to prove her points, or her opponents’, as she sees fit. In fact, Eris is the most likely to quickly jump from one topic to another when she is enthralled in a conversation, never missing a beat.
• Charismatic – she always has a way with words and wit that others find intriguing. Her confidence, quick thought, and ability to connect seemingly separate ideas in novel ways create a style of communication that is charming, even entertaining, and informative at the same time.
• Argumentative – If there’s anything she enjoys, it’s the mental exercise of debating an idea. More consensus-oriented personality types rarely appreciate the vigor with which these personalities tear down her beliefs and methods, sometimes leading to a great deal of tension.
• Insensitive – Being so rational, she often misjudges others’ feelings and push their debates well past others’ tolerance levels.
• Adaptive – Her ability and readiness to change her perspectives may save them from being overly confrontational or insensitive. She just have to realize the value of emotional understanding, sensitivity, and compromise in maintaining a strong relationship.
