Summary

Starting with the good, Finn is a very creative and open minded you man, always coming up with new stories and ideas (Although most of his stories tend to be for lies). He is an entertaining conversationalist and almost always has something to say or talk about. Finn is also a peace keeper, generally not one to start fights and tends to be quick to try and stop them- normally with words over action. He's sympathetic and always has an ear to lend, willing to offer comfort, and advice, even if it likely wont be great advice. Finally, he's very innovative, with his creativity comes big ideas- normally very over the top ones at that. He likes to invent or work around ways to deal with his problems, often being quite 'extra' in his way of doing it (its not uncommon for him to work his 'magic tricks' into his plans either).

Despite Finns outward attitude of coming off as somewhere in the middle of grouchy/low energy and curious/energetic (his version of wannabe 'cool'), he can be a rather sensitive- but its very specific things that get to him. Name calling, generic bullying, poking fun at his lisp, things like that don't seem to bother him, but more personal jabs can shut him down quick- sometimes making him cry or causing a miss understanding if someone is just joking around with him. On the flip side, he's not really afraid to cry in front of people he trusts. He might try to hide it, like any normal person would, after all no one likes to be seen crying. But if he really is upset over something that really does bother him, he wont be afraid to admit it- or at least, not deny it- and maybe even express how he feels. This also plays into him being very self-conscious, and sensitive about what people have to say about his body- particularly his scars. He tries to make his scars this cool thing by coming up with stories about them that are blatant lies, he wants people to look at his scars as if they're metals for cool things he's done to help him bottle up the trauma that comes with the. On the other hand, at least, hes very aware of himself and what hes doing- even if hes still rather... embarrassing, to say the least, he at the very least pays a lot of mind to what hes doing and how hes dressing (but not always what hes saying).

Despite being sort of self aware, it is very easy to manipulate Finn if he thinks highly or admires you. Thankfully, he doesn't usually blindly idolize people, he has to know them a bit first before he'll almost blindly follow their opinion. He will however be the first to fall into a new trend that might pop up, not wanting to seem out of touch or uncool. And lastly, Finn is insanely eager to please, to the point he'll go to extreme lengths just to make someone proud of him. This pushes him to try to make something of himself, to BE impressive and successful, but it can also cause him to get in over his head and dive into things he can't handle, often ending in him doing the opposite of his intentions.

Finally, the pure downfalls of Finnigan Fiddlesticks. Impulsive. although he is aware of himself physically, verbally, and in the heat of the moment, actions, can slip away from him. Finn tends to say whatever pops into his head, especially in high pressure situations- this can lead to accidental arguments or him just embarrassing himself- but at least with the ladder hes typically quick to back down. In action, when Finn thinks he has a bright idea he goes for it. This can lead to him running ahead, or doing something risky without consulting with the people around him. Despite having very loose lips and being quick to act without thinking, Finn is also very quick to back down when people are upset or angry with him- he hates disappointing people- ESPECIALLY those he admires or are in a position of authority. And to conclude, Finns dishonesty and escapist tendencies come in quite the package, as he'll often lie about his past in order to comfort himself rather than tackle his trauma properly. Making up lies and fake stories to go with his scars is his way of escaping and coping with the years of his life he was stuck out at sea.
