Jazirah
Jazirah is a curious creature, fascinated and deeply in love with the world around her. She's adventerous and bold, courageous and proud, but at times that can come across as a touch overzealous, even foolhardy. She is not, however, boistrous with her ambitious nature, and is fairly even-tempered and gentle in disposition, kind to those she cares for and steadfast in stubborn opposition to those who mean harm. She's also particularly stunning, with her sooty buckskin coat that shines like an Akhal-Teke's.

When she was much younger, Jazirah embarked down the path of becoming an Ashakai within her herd; an individual who works in close tandem with the spirits of nature. She bonded with one in particular, as Ashakai typically do, which she gave the name Haroun to. Haroun most often takes the form of a massive bird of prey, most closely resembling a harpy eagle, but at times will instead use the body of a mountain lion. With Haroun at her side for the remainder of her life, and nearly unrivaled skill with her longbow, Jazirah became a valuable hunter within her herd. But that was secondary to her invaluable place as the lead stallion's only daughter, and he cherished her deeply.
During a particularly rough season of drought in the desert her herd called home, the naturally nomadic peoples found themselves migrating further out of their way than they usually traveled, in search of food and water to sustain themselves. During this journey, a pack of gnolls ambushed them, and as they fled, the gnolls effectively herded them into a nest of ankhegs. The gnolls made sure the most formidable individuals fell victim to the ankhegs, allowing the gnolls to pick off the rest for themselves. The sole survivors were Jazirah and Rahul (and Haroun, fortunately).
The trauma, along with the sudden upheaval of their lives as they journeyed to places they'd never been before in an attempt to find somewhere safe to recover and figure out rebuilding their lives, left Jazirah a little uncharacteristically withdrawn for a time. But she believes it honors their lost family best for her to still seek adventure in life, and still meet the challenges that face her with her usual, brazen bravery.
