Sallow Culpepper

Sallow Culpepper doesn't know what childhood is. Born a very ill child to an ailing mother, Sallow was already off to a shaky start. It got infinitely worse when her father, a Royal Navy captain, was killed in a skirmish between his crew and Skull Island sharkfolk, cutting off her mother's only income. Juggling a job and increasing mental and physical health struggles, Sallow's mother really didn't have the time to properly raise her or play with her, and eventually sent her on a ship to the Port Regal colony to live with her aunt at age 12 in hopes of a better life. Sadly, things did not improve by much there, and Sallow was often kept locked away. Her songs and cries of sorrow from her bedroom earned her the title of the Weeping Willow of Port Regal. Escaping with the help of Lems, she joins forces with him because of their mutual desire to discover the truth behind their dead biological parents, and goes to Skull Island to learn the art of being a Privateer.

Falls in love incredibly easily, and a bit boy-crazy at the beginning of her story with on-and-off boyfriends that she breaks off from when they try to use her. This ends when Charlie (and in Intertwined, Owen as well) knock the snot out of her last one. Co-Captains with Charlie. She's got a good eye and a good heart, and is learning to find beauty in the world again, along with how to speak up and stand up for herself to be a good leader.

Intertwined specific- Friends with Owen and a member of their crew before Charlie founds her own. Still sails alongside Owen's crew frequently.
