Ryajha

Ryajha, god of the flood

Ryajha is one of the two dominant gods of the Daharus region, the partner of Ryusjar, god of drown. Together, both gods make trespassing the waters of Daharus a constant danger. 

Ryajha has great influence over the tides and weather of Daharus, he prefers the waters to be high, as this allows him more territory to roam (and allows Ryusjar more territory to hunt). Unlike his partner, Ryusjar, he can leave the water, but not for long. And it is.... uncomfortable for him.

Primarily, Ryajha can be found in the Daharus seas and lakes, it tends not to be in smaller bodies of water (though not impossible), these are where Ryusjar mostly lurks. The sea is well known by creatures to be Ryajha's domain, and settlement has ceased there for many centuries. Ryajha kills all who step into the waves.

• Ryajha can control the rains + tides. His godly drive revolves around flooding and drowning, to do so powers his being and keeps him non-beastly. If he goes too long without a flooding, he will revert to beastly ways / be unable to talk. Ryajha also takes pleasure in drowning/flooding however, so this is no moral quandary for him.
• Local creatures or clans will often make offerings to Ryajha so they may be spared in the next flooding, or that their crops may survive the torrential downpours Ryajha brings. Ryajha prefers drowning sacrifices the most, but will also (sometimes) accept drowned objects. Objects with some sentimental value to the offer-er that have been allowed to rot away in the water. Ryajha may also accept bone and teeth necklaces, he likes these.
• it can change its form greatly, similar to most gods. Ryajha's size, number of eyes, limbs, and teeth are all variable. However, he cannot shrink himself to a 'normal' creature size- even at his smallest size he is 3x-4x the average creature. 
• It is more reasonable/logical, generally, than a majority of the lesser gods. Ryajha can talk/communicate verbally just as well as any creature. Ryajha also participates in some hobbies (most gods are too overwhelmed by their godly drives to even consider this),  it likes jewelry-making, and collecting objects. Unlike many gods, Ryajha has a history of familiarity and even friendships with creatures over the centuries. Though in recent history, it has been cold and cruel to most creatures. It misses the previous inhabitants of Daharus, long driven out, the storm spirits.
• Ryajha is a curious though brutal god. It will investigate and show interest in others to the extent that benefits it. Extremely rarely, will Ryajha act on the behalf of others.
