[Personality] timid-quiet-loyal

Lamora is quiet, soft spoken and indecisive. It's difficult for him to speak his mind because he's too worried about how others perceive him. He wants to be accepted and tends to just say what he thinks others want to hear. He is afraid of rejection and as such doesn't have many close friends. He wants to be better but has always been afraid of the idea that "people never change". He expresses himself in very small ways: a small smile when he's excited, a slight widening of the eyes when he's suprised, a tightening of the jaw when he's angry, a twitch of his tail when he's nervous. You'll never see large expressions out of this quiet beauty.

[Details]

Setting. A prototypical fantasy world where magic reigns and all sorts of mythical beings are reality, the desire to know ones future never wanes. There are four major species in this world: Human, angel, demon, beastkin. Each major species has a council made of up five of their best. These five then make up an inter-species grand council consisting of 20 members that come together during times of great crisis. In all the world's history, the grand council has only had to gather 4 times to counter such a crisis.

In general, each major species keeps to their own territory. A war will break out here and there but it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Angels. A graceful, benevolent, and long-lived species. Are one of the oldest major species along with the demons. The number of wings an angel has on their back is a signal of their power, with a maximum number of 6. Most of them have a soft spot for humans, the youngest of the major species, but a good number of angels also pride themselves on remaining a neutral entity. There is no law stating that an angel must be neutral or not, it's all personal preference in times of peace.

Not all angels live in Celestia. Those that do not take up residence in the highest of mountain peaks, as close to Celestia as they are able. Why some prefer to stay on Earth but high in the clouds is each its own story.

The Wandering Angel. An angel that has been forgotten and as a result has forgotten his purpose. Without a purpose for so long, he's at risk of fading away completely. Is Lamora even his real name? He's not entirely sure. The only certainty is that his existence is in jeopardy. Every day he wonders if it'll be his last day seeing the sun.

[Backstory]

Lamora stared unseeing at the sky above him as he sat motionless on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the ocean. Would today be the day he would disappear from this world? It was a silent question he asked himself multiple times a day. That made it what…the second time today already? And it wasn’t even noon yet. It was one of his better days.

He stared at the bright sky for a moment longer before standing up quietly to turn around and walk down the cliff. His bare feet didn’t feel the gravel of the earth, such mundane things had no effect on him.

He didn’t have a destination, hadn’t had one in a very long time. His feet merely took him where they willed and the rest of him followed. Food was not a necessity for him. As long he had air to breathe he would not starve.

An unknown amount of time passed and Lamora found himself standing at what appeared to be the peak of a mountain. Before him stood a beautiful shrine, it was large and surrounded by blooming cherry blossom trees despite the season. A stone pathway was laid before him and at the end of that pathway stood an even more beautiful figure. He radiated confidence and dark wings perfectly complimented his complexion. He held himself tall and proud, a stance that said he knew his place in the world. His eyes were covered by a smaller set of wings and Lamora wondered if he was blind.

A small smile tugged at the stranger’s lips. “I can see perfectly fine. In fact, I Saw that you would arrive today my dear Lamora.”

Lamora merely blinked in surprise. “How did you…” His soft voice trailed off, unsure how to proceed in this uncharted territory. It had been so long since he had spoken with another angel.

The stranger continued to smile reassuringly. “Call it a gift if you will.” He held out a hand, inviting Lamora into his home. “Won’t you come inside and join me?”

Lamora looked at that stranger’s hand and felt an irresistible urge to take it. He glanced back up at this angel he had never before met in his life and felt something tug at his soul. It was a feeling he thought he would never have again: contentment. The doubt that had always been nagging at him was washed away instantly and he knew that if he took this man’s hand, he would never be able to go back to a life alone. Was it dependence? Most definitely. But he preferred that over the sick fear and apprehension he felt every minute of every day worrying when he would disappear into nothingness.

Without another moment to lose, he took the other’s hand and felt free for the first time in a long time.

[The Seer]

Soulmate, Savior, Lover(?). It is thanks to The Seer that Lamora has been able to move forward in life. He is emotionally dependent on The Seer and gets anxious whenever they are separated for too long. He was able to convince The Seer to allow him to work as his attendant and it has been at least a decade since then. He desires to be closer to The Seer but is it out of dependence or love?
