Grief Meredeth - He/They - Genderqueer Guy - Age 23 - Rosetailed Cat - 5'10" - Gay
Greif Meredeth is a fun, somewhat gawky, genuine guy with a big love for music. He's a heavy concert-goer who regularly attends underground venues and was one of the first ever fans of Better Off Dead. Though he may spend his off time in loud crowds, during the day he actually leads a rather quiet life as he works at a book store.

He is the older half-sibling of Kaiju Emiri. Though the two of them are somewhat close in age, with a difference of only 4 years, they spent a lot of their lives not knowing each other that well. This primarily boils down to how different their living situations were. While Kaiju got to stay in one household consistently with his father and their shared mother, Grief was quite regularly going back and forth between their household and staying with his own dad. It wasn't until his teens that his father was offered a good job on the other side of the country, and he was given the choice to stay or go. At first, he believed he sincerely wanted to go, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized he would miss his mom and friends too much and elected to stay.

In his teens, Grief was rather distant and struggled to find his place in the family or make connections with Kaiju and his step-dad, so he often kept away from the house. He would spend a lot of his spare time with friends wherever they could hang out - malls, parks, fast food joints, or anything of the like. His mom was always encouraging and was sure that the 2 would get along if they could find something to bond over, but he just never could figure out what. This cycle kept up for a while, even when many of his friends moved away after school, and he was left on his own, he continued to keep away. It wasn't until he was 21 that things were finally able to change.

As Grief was getting ready to attend one of the little underground music shows he frequents, his mom suggested that he bring Kaiju along. Though hesitant at first, he knew how happy it would make his mom to try and get closer with his step-sibling, so he agreed. Most of the shows were good and fine, but the final one is what really blew them away - the debut of this new group called Better Off Dead. After the show finished up, they got to go meet up with a bunch of the performers and B-lined it for BOD. Greif always made it a habit to bring blank shirts and paint pens to shows so he could get bands he liked to sign them for him. He got 2 shirts autographed by the band members, took some pictures with them, and got a copy of the setlist before ending the night.

The next day, Grief did something a bit out of character for him and knocked on Kaiju's door. Though it was a bit confusing, it wasn't unwelcome. Especially after Kaiju saw that Grief had painted a design onto both of the signed shirts with the list of their songs preformed written on the back - alongside printed copies of the pictures they had taken! He was overjoyed, and Greif hung around with Kaiju for the rest of the day as the two of them chatted over their new favorite band, finally starting to bond as brothers.
