Avis was once a famous cryptid, not on the level of Mothman of course but still attracted multiple tourists to his town. The town flourished under the tourists and new business until it broke out that an accident happened, Most tourists were quickly scared off and Avis quickly became obscure. It is often brought up on Cryptid Forums where people wondered what happened to it and theorize what occurred to it
