July 2, 23. [Dee-full-lus]. Di`i is the God of the Hunt, which actually means a lot more killing people than you'd expect. They were formed via a bounty hunting competition hosted by a council of Fyre-glow Beholders. The contest involved chasing down the worst of the worst criminals on Akis and offing them (if possible). Whoever was able to down their mark would be the winner. After a great evil was felled (possibly Keos in his war to enslave humanity), Di`i burst from the corpse, born into existence in a brilliant flash of light. Upon learning what The Hunt had done, Di`i affiliated themselves with it and began to grant boons to those who defeated those no one else could

Di`i is twofold. They are two beings and yet, one being. They generally go by he/them and share the same name. They have two modes of presenting. The first is "out" where the gods are attached at the tail. The second is "in" where only one body of the god is visible and the two of them will shapeshift to appear as themselves as needed. The other part of Di`i (as in: not this one) is much more chaotic. They love to eat, drink, and be merry. This Di`i however, is more solemn and introspective. The respect the lives they take (if there is respect to be had) and consider hunting to be a delicate art. Despite their differences, both sides get along quite well

As a part of the council of The Hunt, Di`i grants boons to the killers of difficult targets. Boons are small marks not unlike Chosen marks. They're not the same thing, however. Boons can be placed anywhere - on a person, an item, etc - but must all be placed on the same thing. The booned object cannot be lost, meaning the owner of the boons will always be able to find it in one way or another. Each one grants a very small bonus from a specific list of abilities. These are things like dexterity, agility, endurance, speed, stealth, or an increase in a specific sense. Likewise, a boon may decrease something undesirable such as hunger rate, pain, or the need to sleep. Each hunter can only receive boons up to a specific threshold. Afterwards, additional marks only serve as proof of prestige and skill
