Profile

History:

Her father is a career military man and she grew up moving often and living on military bases. She excelled in academics and was heavily invested in studying martial arts from a young age. She is certified level expert 4 in Krav Maga and she studied Judo as a child as well. It was expected that she would enlist in the Marines as soon as she was able to and she did not disappoint. Her skill with weapons was incredibly well regarded; she could shoot almost any weapon with near perfect accuracy after very little practice. Skill or not, it didn't stop an enemy from blowing up a target she and her team had infiltrated. She was only 24 when her family received the news that she was killed in action. Their mourning and vow to keep her younger brother out of the military was real, but her death was not. She had authorized herself to be used as an experiment rather than accepting traditional treatment in the event of a catastrophic injury. The doctors turned her into a cyborg and it was better for her family to think she was dead, as they would never be allowed to see her again. Upon waking from the surgery her most grave injuries were repaired with new technology unlike anything she had seen before, and thanks to the visible titanium and almost undetectable alien nanites running through her blood, she was no longer considered human. The newly christened Agent JX512A took the name Jax and had no past, no family, and a vested interest in serving HORIZON--the High Orbit Response and Interstellar Zone Operations Network--because it was through their scientific knowledge and medical expertise that Jax got what she had truly wanted all along, and it wasn't the improved dexterity of metal fingers. At HORIZON no one asked who she used to be.
