Profile

Name: Iratiae (Usually goes by Ira)

Pronounced: I-ray-she-ay

Gender: Female

Species: Throne Angel (First Triad Angel)

Age: ???

Height: 5’6”

Weight: 190 lbs (wings included)

Abilities: Pyrokinesis (Fire Manipulation) Telekinesis.

Strengths: Built for speed. Is a fast flyer that uses gravity and speed to achieve harder strikes. Is rather lightweight for her species, allowing her to achieve higher top speeds. Fights smarter not harder. Due to being built for speed, Ira resorts to problem solving during combat. Will develop a strategy when faced with an opponent rather than brute forcing her way through a fight. Later in training, Ira gains an excellent control of her fire and can use it to move objects or block attacks. Fire becomes an extension of her body.

Weaknesses: Fighting a heavier-set opponent can prove challenging. Has to resort to dodging heavier attacks. Sustaining heavier hits can prove detrimental. Sneak attacks are crippling. She cannot out speed an attack that she cannot see coming. Damage sustained to wings is a major cripple. The majority of her fighting style relies on speed. No wings equals less speed. Fire becomes out of control if emotions run too high. Due to issues with anger, she tends to avoid fighting near allies due to the possibility of friendly fire.

Personality:

Ira is stubborn and strong willed. She may not be able to brute force her way through an issue, but she will meticulously pick it apart just to get her way. Ira has a bit of a temper that can flare up when being mocked or wronged. Is protective of her friends and colleagues, is very nurturing. Even takes care of a massive garden to help quell those nurturing instincts. Runs most of her emotions on her moral compass. She will do whatever she can to right a wrong, especially if it’s a wrong against the people she cares about. For example:

A certain red televangelist demon causes the death of your dearest human friend? Go to his office to confront and kill him. His office has plenty of humans that could be collateral if you fought there? Challenge him to fight you in a safer environment. He refuses and mocks you for you inability to do anything about your friends death? Leave and make your own televangelist show to meticulously debunk and disenfranchise everything he’s ever created for himself. Giving up isn’t an option.

Furthermore, Ira is a bit of an adrenaline junky. She loves rollercoasters and thrill rides. Her favorite hobby is Storm Surfing. An angel’s sport that has the participant fly through storm cells from one end to the other. She enjoys doing this to blow off steam. Ira also thoroughly enjoys sweet foods like chocolate. She also likes puzzle toys like rubix cubes and can usually be found with a fidget item in one hand while at work. Finally, Ira enjoys anything soft and plush. She has a tendency to make nests out of plushies and pillows before falling asleep. Sometimes she is fully buried under blankets after a particularly restful night.

About Thrones:

Her species has been derived from the biblically accurate species of angel: the Throne.

Thrones are described in the Bible as flaming wheels with many eyes. The Bible states that the fire is derived from the intense emotions of God. Therefore, Ira’s true form can be found in the bottom right hand corner of her ref. Some liberties have been taken when deriving this species. Firstly, Ira has a humanoid form and a human disguise. It’s a little difficult to deliver messages to humanity when your true form is flaming wheels of horror. Secondly, Thrones receive their fire and fire intensity based off of emotions. When emotions run high, fire can get out of control. While powerful, Thrones can be a hazard to their fellow soldier, making them the lowest rank of the First Triad of angels. It takes long and arduous training for a Throne to gain control of their fire. Training a Throne can even be a dangerous task due to the sporadic behavior of their fire. Thus very few higher ranking angels have this task. Luckily for trainers and fellow soldiers, Thrones have a tell for when they are about to lose control. Thrones will smoke from the mouth when losing control of their flames. The darker the smoke, the more imminent the loss of control. Due to these issues, Thrones have an unfortunate reputation of being unwieldy and even downright dangerous.
