- I had a really silly dream probably caused by a bout of sleep paralysis where this guy showed up (complete with his entire backstory and cast no less), so, naturally I doubled down and made him an actual fan character: Albeit a half-joking one... But aren't those the best kind?

Ibdis is the Supreme Kai (approximately, a creation god) of a prototype universe made before the 12 canon universes currently active in Dragon ball super... Its construction is only so-so and like many early universes in this fan setting, something's a bit off with it. Ibdis' universe is known as 'the drifting universe' because no matter how careful you are, it's impossible not to travel off course. This affects everyone and everything slightly differently, but from a god's PoV it's like a very unruly game of universe sandbox where planets that should be permanently stable need shoving back into place every billion years or so, and you just cannot figure out why some things are going off in spirals over time.

The running joke is that the universal 'error' is that the concept of east (or is it right? clockwise? or all of these things? Ibdis isn't sure) is just bugged out in some way and it causes things to drift off that way.

Deity or not, Ibdis is something like an embodiment of his universe, and so is not immune to having a bad sense of direction and balance. Though not too disruptive to every day life, having to go to new places or perform strenuous activities will always result in some kind of mishap ranging from slapstick to a trip to the doctor's office.

Trivia:

-Ibdis' name is a reference to the greek sea monster Charybdis, known for causing whirlpools.
-Though not a real-world condition, Ibdis' 'wobbly' nature is similar to cats with mild cerebellar hypoplasia, where they can learn to self-correct with time and effort.
-By the time of the canon events of dbz and dbs, Ibdis has likely been erased along with the entire drifting universe.
-Ibdis is part of a 'trinity' along with Chaga and Tatea, and the three literally share one life between them.
