tazzi can be described as somewhat of a wild card - she is very unpredictable when it comes to her personality. she has a hair-trigger temper, and her mood can shift as easily as the winds, but to her core, she is a truly selfless person who wants to do good. she is surprisingly quiet and reserved, even courteous, only acting outgoing when it is required of her on a mission or around her closest friends. when she isn’t out fighting, she enjoys reading and is a fair artist. she is most accurately characterized as an ambivert. while on missions, she likes to be in the thick of the action; war is in her blood, she had spent her entire life fighting to survive, between living on the streets to training in the jedi order. that has made her resourceful as well as a brilliant tactician. during her days in the republic, she was renowned for her clever strategies and being quick on her feet. she also makes an effort to understand her enemies, and they can earn her respect with their tactics if they outsmart her. even though she fights them, she can learn to be civil to them, especially if their true goals are otherwise hidden at first. she also can be quite charismatic, yet gets flustered very easily. tazzi is brave to a fault, leaning to recklessness most of the time, for she rarely fears death. she would die for her friends in a heartbeat, and would sacrifice herself to save someone else if need be. however, tazzi’s reckless nature can be extremely dangerous, rushing headfirst into hopeless situations and risking her life. she can become too focused on the objective and unintentionally endanger others. when she gets in such a state, tazzi can be quite frightening, and most of the time needs to be snapped out of it before it’s too late. she can also be very immature, since she favors intelligence over wisdom, though mostly around her friends in casual situations or when she has won a battle and is gloating to an enemy. though her master taught her to control her anger, she still lets it slip through at times, getting frustrated easily, but she usually tries to bottle up her emotions until she breaks down. with all of the battles she has fought in, becoming a general at an extremely young age and surviving order 66, tazzi can let her past trauma get to her. she can freeze up at crucial moments, has night terrors, and, rarely, will run out of fear. she is also prone to react aggressively to touch and comments on her hybrid heritage, since she despises her appearance and is sensitive because of it.

Story

tazzi was born in 36 bby on csilla, the chiss homeworld, to wratt’alinar’inrokini, a former navigator and an aristocra of the chiss ascendency, and blight sourdoul, a force-sensitive dathomirian zabrak. she lived with her parents for six years, primarily passing as a chiss and therefore able to interact with others, as long as she wore contacts and covered her growing horns. her mother maintained her role in the ascendency, as the wratt family had been integrated into the phlikh family through a false marriage between talinari and plikh’ana’rokoul. with her ”husband’s” help, talinari kept blight hidden, but the fear of getting caught caused them to fight often, making tazzi push down her emotions so as to not cause more conflict. their biggest fight occurred when blight gave tazzi traditional dathomirian tattoos, leading to her having to constantly wear makeup to hide them. both parents knew, especially after they realized she was force-sensitive too, that they couldn’t keep tazzi’s heritage a secret forever, so they planned for her and blight to escape to dathomir. unfortunately, their secret was revealed, and tazzi was forced to flee to her mother’s ship. through the force, she could feel her father’s life ending and her mother’s grief, before she crash-landed on the planet zygerria. for several months, tazzi wandered the streets of zygerria as a pickpocket and thief, selling her mother’s ship for parts and learning scraps of basic along the way, since she only knew cheunh, sy bisti and dathomiri. through the force, jedi master kit fisto has sensed tazzi’s imbalance and need for help, and pursued her through one of the cities, for she fled out of fear and confusion. when he caught up to her, he explained who he was and that he wanted to help. remembering the stories her father told her of the jedi, tazzi reluctantly accepted, and they flew to coruscant for tazzi to start her training to become a jedi. until the age of 9, she spent her time with the other younglings, learning various languages, fighting techniques and history, quickly climbing her way up to the top of her class. she received her kyber crystal during the gathering, realizing that she needed to focus on the future and accept the past in order to pass. her lightsaber was colored ice blue, and with her new weapon, she felt ready to become a padawan. as a youngling, tazzi was bullied relentlessly by other children due to her strange looks and troublesome origins. master plo koon was the first to notice and reprimand them for teasing her, leading to the two forming a bond. after passing her jedi initiate trials with flying colors, many masters and knights took an interest in taking her on as a padawan. to tazzi’s shock, plo koon was cleared to make her his padawan, the council feeling that they would work well together. at first, she was extremely difficult, but plo koon’s patience finally paid off, and tazzi opened up to him about her past, leading to her trying harder to listen to his instructions and make her master proud. over the years, they formed a deep bond, becoming nearly inseparable. despite the order’s ban on forming attachments, tazzi began to see her master as a father figure. during her time as a padawan, tazzi reprogrammed and upgraded an abandoned vulture droid that acted as her companion. his number was dfs-l37, or as she named him, leviathan (levi for short). plo koon’s trust in her eventually extended to the point where he approved her to practice jar’kai, and helped her build a second lightsaber, a purple shoto saber. she took up jar’kai at the same time padawan ahsoka tano did, and while they had become friends and went on missions together prior, their friendship strengthened, and tazzi began to form feelings for the togruta. they briefly entered a relationship, but it did not last long. ahsoka eventually left the order, to tazzi’s devastation. she threw herself into training and work, and at the age of 16, tazzi passed the trials and became a jedi knight, gaining a troop of clones and commanding a ship. she worked alongside many admirals and masters, including master kit fisto, who she was still friends with. her tactics won her many battles, impressing the council with her nerve. her career as a jedi knight lasted for barely a year until order 66 drove her away from coruscant, but not before she discovered the destruction within the jedi temple. she received one last hologram from plo koon, only to watch him die; it was a loss tazzi would never recover from. to avoid being killed by clones, she slashed herself with a lightsaber and feigned death, being discovered by master yoda. he told her to travel to the planet felucia and hide in plain sight, and that she would know when the time would be right for her to return. with a great amount of reluctance, tazzi, accompanied by her vulture droid leviathan, left the only life she ever knew behind. for a time, tazzi worked as a bounty hunter, though never took jobs that would benefit the empire or compromise lost jedi. she took jobs with the bounty hunter embo, who found out what she was, but offered to help her save jedi. grateful and surprised, she accepted, and the two created a sort of hidden sanctuary on felucia for former jedi. they would take bounties for jedi, take them to felucia, and come back to confirm them dead and take the money. embo and tazzi soon formed mutual feelings for each other, and started a relationship, although tazzi was scared of being hurt again. their base was compromised after a stormtrooper stumbled upon it, and alerted the rest of the empire. tazzi and embo were facing off against an inquisitor at time time, where embo sacrificed himself to save her - she refuses to discuss exactly what happened. in despair, she killed the inquisitor and gave embo a proper burial, before dejectedly returning to felucia, where she found her burned down base and dead jedi. feeling as though she didn’t belong anywhere, she buried the jedi and went into hiding. after years of running, she stumbled across an old friend of hers from the order, caleb dume, or by his new name, kanan jarrus. they ended up joining forces with hera syndulla to form the crew of the ghost. thus, tazzi joined the rebellion, vowing to avenge the deaths of her friends and master at the hands of the empire.

Trivia

• her name is composed of her family name (wratt), personal name (azz), and second family name (inrokini). it is pronounced “wraut-ahz-in-ro-keen-e.” her core name is simply pronounced “tah-ze.”

• she has one standard and one shoto lightsaber, nicknamed “ice” and “indigo.” she fights using forms iv (ataru) and v (shien), and jar’kai as well.

• her personality type is intp-t, and her hogwarts house is gryffindor. her moral alignment is chaotic good.

• as a bounty hunter, she goes by ngikotholu, which means “incommunicado” in sy bisti. her first language is cheunh, but like most jedi, she is fluent in many other languages.

• tazzi loves art and music, but mostly the former - she doesn’t like to call herself an artist but is very good at drawing and draws often. she also knows how to play a couple of instruments and has a surprisingly nice singing voice.

• her voice borders on high-pitched with an american accent, although her native chiss accent comes out when arguing or upset.

• she has almost no relationship experience, having only dated two people. however, she has a thing for strong-willed yet intelligent people, though she will never admit that.

• she became a jedi knight at the age of 16, though this is primarily due to the fact that she matured much faster than a standard human.

• she is a history nerd (a nerd in general but especially when it comes to history) - she particularly likes learning about the old republic and the history of the jedi order. she wears jedi order symbols and has one on her main lightsaber’s hilt as a reminder to herself that things could change for the better someday.

• when needing to disguise herself, she wears a unique mask-like hologram that changes the color of her skin and eyes to resemble a traditional zabrak. it is a tool of her own creation.

• early into her career as a knight, she was rewarded with jaig eyes by a mandalorian chieftain she saved during a particularly nasty skirmish. she rarely ever wore them on her clothes or armor, but eventually settled for sewing them onto her knee bracers.

• tazzi suffered from depression after order 66 and is recovering, but is still struggling with post-traumatic stress.

• she owns a ship, a helix-class light interceptor called the daredevil. since joining the spectres, she doesn't fly it as often, and leaves it near her old base on felucia with her vulture droid when not in use.

• tazzi’s bracers were a gift from her master after becoming a jedi knight - they are made of phrik, and can deflect blaster bolts and withstand lightsaber cuts. she later acquired shoulder plates made of phrik as well.

• when not fighting with her lightsabers, tazzi utilizes either an altered a-180 blaster, or a pair of manganese brass throwing knives, which she keeps hidden in her boots.
