Profile
Humility is an Archdevil who runs the very first layer of Hell, New Styx.
She keeps track of the passage of souls to and from her layer, which is a city that stands upon the infamous "River Styx"; A subway that ferries the damned throughout the innermost layers of Hell. Her workplace and home is a holding grounds for souls who've yet to be properly placed, and is more often than not the layer most frequently visited by tourists- due predominantly to its capacity to accomodate for mortals.
As this city of darkness's ruler, Humility is often swamped by paperwork, meetings, and calls, and must remain confined to her penthouse and plane of existence. Despite this, however, she wholeheartedly loves her job! Hers is a responsiblity that requires a balancing of compassion and pragmatism in order to ensure that every soul who enters and exits her system is fostered and ferried comfortably.
Even still, when met with the briefest of moments of levity from work, her eyes can do little but gather the clouds of smog with her imagination, and trace the phantom activity of those that exist upwards. For while she may have grown calculated and cold to better adapt for her newfound status, the love and passion that burns for her mortals has not once wavered; And, for those she adores so dearly upon surface, that fire will forever burn...
As she awaits to be patiently reunited with them once again.

- Humility was accepted into godhood, taking upon the position of the Goddess of Death. She then began to bolster her ranks by selecting a retinue of characters to join her.
- Avarice; The Hound of the Heavens. Humility is mostly busy with adjudicating every soul to enter the afterlife, so the process of ferrying them is too taxing for her alone. So, she hired someone who was discarded from Heaven as an angel, fallen directly into her lap to be her most attentive servant. Avarice was bound by a contract constructed by her owners at the time, however now that Humility and Avarice are in a loving, equal relationship, a new one was forged to have both of their interests in mind.
- Gayle; The Grand Archivist. In order for Humility to gain all of the information necessary regarding her clients, she needs a receptionist who's infallable at collecting, organizing, and archiving information about their ferried souls. This is where the Archivist, Gayle, steps in. Anything passed on to Humility is of her design, and over the centuries of work together, they've built an undeniable trust for one another.
