Cursed daughter, uttering insanities no one believes, do you regret taking the vow?
A newly appointed apprentice of the sect, Velleity is there against her will, brought in an effort to quell her rebellious and often dangerous behavior. She is known for being impulsive and a general nuisance of a cat. Still, she does all she can to please others and do good, even if it costs her her own happiness.
She is one of the first to notice that something is wrong when an "angel" begins teaching the sect magic, though her concerns are passed off as little more than her being angry that she is not being taught. Determined to do something, Velleity pulls her best friend along with her to figure out what is going on behinds the scenes.

• Serendipity
Velleity's best friend, the two have been close since childhood despite their differences. They consider each other sisterly figures and hang around each other at every oppurtunity. Serendipity is often seen as the "golden child" of the two, having a much calmer and kinder disposition to the more rambunctious and trouble-making Velleity.
• Hythe
A fellow "rebel" and apprentice of the church, Hythe becomes one of the only cats who truly understand what Velleity is going through. They confide in each other under their harsh circumstances and become good friends over time. However, eventually things take a turn for the worse, as Hythe is tired of the constant hazing.
