Masaki was meant to be the Eddie Brock and Ryuken was meant to be Spider-Man, but Aizen's involvement changed things. Masaki got bit before she could be afflicted by White. She was also meant to be Ryuken's canon event. However, she got bitten by the spider and was also afflicted by White. Isshin and Kisuke was able to stabilise her and keep White at bay.

Because of this, Earth-11712 corrected itself the way Miles's did. Instead, Kategiri ended up being both Ryuken and Uryu's canon events and Masaki's canon event was... herself... Ichigo's canon event was Masaki. Masaki was always supposed to die from White attaching to her, but she didn't. So when she died, it became Ichigo's canon event as well as the event that had White attach to Ichigo. However, he stayed silent and didn't involve himself until after Ichigo trained his powers. Ichigo and Uryu were naturally born Spider-Men. Ichigo didn't detect Uryu, Rukia, Chad, or Orihime. But they all detected each other. And White was the reason Ichigo didn't detect them. He directly impacted his spidey-senses.

White acts similarly to how he does in the anime at significant points in Ichigo's 8 months as Spirit-Spider, fighting Byakuya, saving his life at different points, and nearly taking control before he trains with the Visores to go to Earth-81310 (Hueco Mundo). When Ichigo literally dies, White takes control and fights Ulquiorra. And he lends Ichigo his power after training with the Visoreds. He leaves Ichigo for 17 months when Ichigo effectively loses his Spider-Man powers to save the multiverse from Aizen. And then he returns to Ichigo! Because Kisuke kept him attached to Rukia for 17 months. White kept completely silent and inactive, trusting Rukia and her abilities as Spider-Bunny. Then he returned to him when Spider-Society created a genetically modified spider for Ichigo.
