[ sylvie | she/her | lesbian | human-ish ]

a woman once cursed to turn into a tree because of the violence of her girlfriend, marjorie. though she used to adore fairytales and fantasy, her experience which heavily resembles those types of stories has obviously soured her love quite a bit. she’s overall a quiet person now, still as passionate as she was before but far less vocal, just keeping to herself when she can. sylvie refuses to let herself resent her girlfriend for what happened because they’re still together and she loves her, even if that means pushing her negative feelings down until they all rise to the surface one day. she makes an effort to be good and caring no matter how she’s feeling.

sylvie is scared of the woods that were like her grave, and her fear that the roots will once again drag her down and make her one of them isn’t entirely unfounded. yet she still feels a calling that she can’t truly avoid towards the forest and nature. she tries to ignore it and keeps a small garden of flowers to try and satisfy the call.

you’re free to draw her pre or post treeification ! before being treeified her hair didn’t have any green in it at all, her eyes were dark brown, she only had a few freckles, and she rarely had any leaves on her unless she was really messing around in the woods. all those traits appeared after she became human again.

she’s always been ridiculously tall tho! also she’s afro-latina. her nose isn’t like, black and triangle shaped like the way you can see it in most of her art, that’s just a stylization choice i swear she has a normal nose 😭

you can change her outfit if you’d like! i have examples of her style in the outfit ideas section of her pinterest board here- she’s very fem and likes to feel pretty but she usually wears a lot more casual clothes with jackets/sweaters. she doesn’t really like revealing clothes or anything. her necklace is a symbol of her girlfriend, and she always wears it.
