HAIRSTYLE:
CLASSIC: Usually has hood up, but when down their hair is in a low ponytail.
MODERN:
hair is usually down and styled with some sort of bandana. hair also has outgrown purple dye at the ends. They also have two cowrie shells in their hair.
CLOTHING STYLE:
CLASSIC:
Their clothes are leftover from when they were with their with their farmer family, and when they were a jester, as well as some miscellanious peices.
MODERN:
Their clothes are mostly sourced from thrift stores and a few hand me downs from their mom or dad.
MAKEUP: Dai owns a few makeup supplies, but they dont use it often, usually only for clever disguises.
DESIGN NOTES:
- MODERN: They always have their battle jacket on. Its a repurposed sweater covered in patches
- They always wear their sunglasses, even inside. they only take them off to drive
- They always have a necklace on, a small topaz chain from their sister.
- CLASSIC: Dai has a gold tooth as their top left tooth
- they almost always wear their old jesters hood, even though its covered in patches
- her tote bag is basically a hammerspace, anything they've gotten in their adventure is in there
// Physicality.
TATTOOS:
- MODERN: a few small stick and poke tattoos done by themselves.
PIERCINGS:
MODERN+CLASSIC: almost all of their peircings were peirced by themselves.

// Personality.
Contrary to their laid-back appearence, they have a very, very high temper. Years of self-reflection have taught them to be more calm and collected. They have a very "it is what it is" attitude about most things, especially things that dont affect them personally. When it comes to things theyre passionate about, they become very defensive and opinonated. What they do enjoy they become very excited and can talk about it at length. Just like any bard, they are very good at getting what they want, and are usually able to get themselves out of sticky situations with relative ease.

// Childhood
Dai grew up on a large apple farm in what is basically fantasy Virginia. They are the oldest of 7 sisters and had to take care of them often while their parents ran the Nightvale Apple buisness. At the age of 7, they were given a violin and lessons, which jumpstarted their love for music. Some of their biggest creative inspirations were Dolly Parton and Aerosmith, and they would often say they want to be as famous as them. Around the age of 17 their parents started to bother them about inheriting the farm and taking over the family buisness, despite their dreams to acheive stardom. To avoid the inevitable, they packed their things and left towards a larger urban area to start their artistic career.
MODERN.
Before Dai ran away from home, they made a band with their online best friend Emmy, and a few of her friends Mitch and Sammie. they all soon met in Richmond, Virginia and started their music career. After releasing their first album and subsquently gained millions of listeners and acheived over 1 billion listens on their debut single. Despite Dai being the one who formed, wrote and promoted the band, Mitch and Sammie hatched a plan to kick them out. After their first US tour, they were abandoned by their bandmates and only left with most of their belongings, except their violin. After losing their friends, job and dignity, they settled on playing piano for weddings on craigslist.
CLASSIC.
After leaving their family farm, they set off to a close by kingdom, where they played for pubs and hostels while they looked for a job. In the midst of looking for a job, they were recruited to become a jester for the royal family. After taking the job and serving the kingdom for 5 years, a revolution broke out in the kingdom against the monarchy. In secret, Dai joined the revolution and traded insider secrets for garunteed protection when the war hit its peak. All the while, they would start disenting against the king during performances, cracking jokes about him, his family and the monarchy. After multiple months of this, they were found to be involved in the revolution against the king and was subjected to execution. On the day of their killing they cleverly escaped the castle and left the city to start anew. After that, they traveled from city to city trying to make a living off their music, getting multiple thing stolen from them, including their violin. They started adventuring after trying to find work between gigs and doing street performances.

KIRRIE - Friends
Finds them kind of intimidating, but also thinks theyre funny. Probably the only person to treat them with kindness in awhile, although it took a second to warm up to them.
EM - Former friend/bandmate
Met them as a kid on Animal Jam. They were good friends until Mitch manipulated her into thinking they were out of control. Misses them.
Mitch - former bandmate
Mitch and them never had a good relationship. Mitch would often tease them about their interests, and would also purposefully set them off for kicks.
Sammie - former bandmate
Never got along with them. Saw them as some stupid kid who wanted to be famous for attention.
