• as a young lad, he came into contact with some quite powerful magic that instantly corrupted him
• there are even some rumors going around that he was lead there on purpose
  • in order to attach this magic to something so it would be easier to get rid of
• these rumors are most likely true
• either way, when he was discovered, he was deemed dangerous
• he was captured, chained and locked away in some catacombs deep under the earth
• which were then sealed with walls of stone and protective wards
• poor boy was basically just slowly going insane in there
• chained to a wall, becoming more and more corrupted and... something else... as time goes on
• who even knows anymore how long he's been down there
• until he is somehow rescued by a certain white-haired witch
• who has her own agenda, being after the magic that has been bound to Hyde
• trying to figure out how to release it, she drags the creature along with her
  
• somehow, however, Hyde doesn't exactly mind
• being used by a witch sure beats being chained and locked up in solitude for hundreds of years
