Design Notes
- At night some of his patterns glow.
- He needs crystals to breathe properly! It isn't in the ref sheet (I may update it so that it's there), but he's got a necklace with a small crystal attached.
- Friends with Alathor, Miziky and Mizama.
- White back paws (You can't see it on the ref sheet).
- Half Crystal cat, Half Land cat.
A half-blooded, lean blue tom with light speckles running down his back. His pupils are pearly white with a slight hint of purple, and he comes from the Kingdom of Crystals.
He is kind and cunning, but not afraid to speak his beliefs aloud. If you are to bring harm to those he cares about, he’ll do anything to stop that from happening without any bloodshed. He is intent of fixing this broken world, and bringing equality to all.
He can be a bit sassy at times, and he reflects on all the times he was just a bit rude to somebody when it was unnecessary, and he’ll think about it for years and feel horrible about it, lol.
FAMILY MEMBERS
King CRYSTALLINEKing Crystalline is Glowash's father (as said multiple times, lol) and they have a great relationship! Well, they did. Glowash hasn't been able to hang out with his father as much, he has no idea where his father is. But the times they were together, Crystalline did everything in his power to make his son smile, and Glowash longs for the day he meets his father again.
DALLASDallas is Glowash's mom. Dallas appears to be a sweet gal, short 'n stubby, but is honestly a huge badass. She's a great fighter and hard worker, and when her and Glowash finally find eachother again, she'll welcome him in open arms and will only give him the love he deserves.
MAGMAMagma is Glowash's uncle. Magma has a disease that only Crystal cats can get, and is very rare. It's where the crystals on their fur won't stop growing, and after a while, it covers their entire body and kills them. The crystals run a power through his veins, and makes him stronger, despite Crystal cats being quite weak. He has a more muscular build because of it, but his life will be cut short because of the crystals. Magma has always been jealous of Crystalline after their father (the king) chose Crystalline to be the next king. He never did anything about it, though. He just kept his feelings to himself and just kept a smile on. But when he was given the crown, he changed a lot of Crystallines rules, and hopes to make all the species be like the Demon cats, slaves for the Crystal cats.
In this world, there are four species of cats. Crystal, Sea, Land and Demon. The Crystal cats were originally preyed on a lot, in fact, they're the weakest species of all, being thin and fragile, and can only breathe properly if there are crystals around the area. But, the Crystal cats invented scrolls & writing, and came up with lies, telling all the cats in the world that Crystal cats were far more superior, and even lied about their strengths. This went on for thousands of years, lies about how if you even give the Crystal cats a dirty glare, they can kill you without their claws.
With this, the Crystal cats created a system where the species they deem the strongest as the lowest (Nobody else knows this, of course. The other species think that it goes from weakest to strongest). Demons being last, Land being third, Sea cats being second, and Crystals being first. Crystal cats live in a kingdom and are royal. Sea cats live in villages and can get away with crimes easier. They also make a lot more money than Land and Demon cats. Land cats live in small houses, and it takes a long time to make just a few bucks. They probably live in the middle of nowhere, at best having 2 neighbors with them. Demon cats are basically just slaves, living in the Crystal cats dungeons and are probably used for the king and queens' entertainment, acting as a Jester, or just being locked up, for they're too strong (But they think they're weak, based on the history scrolls).
Now that you have context, here is Glowash's history!
Glowash is a Prince of the Crystal Kingdom. He is half Crystal cat, half Land cat. A long time ago, there was a magical curse spelt, that made it to where when a Crystal cat mated with a cat that was lower than a Sea cat, the child would be corrupted. This curse was spelt to ensure that no Crystal cat would dare fall in love with a cat with such low ranks. Even mating with a Sea cat is looked down upon, but it isn't technically bad. So, Glowash is corrupted! He'll often glitch out or have random anxiety/panic attacks, feeling like he can hear voices in the back of his head when there's nothing there.
Seeing how his mom is a Land cat, his father could never reveal the truth to the kingdom, or his son. He was recently made king, and had to make a queen, and it couldn't be her. No land cat was allowed to be queen. He picked Quartz, and begged her to claim Glowash was her son, and in return she'd be queen. She was suspicious, but out of selfishness, agreed so that she could be known as Queen Quartz. The kingdom was unaware of Glowash being half-blood, but it was strange how he didn't have crystals across his fur.
Though, the kingdom was able to puzzle it together after one of the guards found King Crystalline visiting his mate. In the scrolls, it is stated that if a king stoops so low that he is mates with a Land or Demon, the child must be killed, and the king must be dethroned or killed. The kingdoms people raided the palace, and Glowash only got away because of his father's protection. King Crystalline lost his crown, and it was given to Magma, his brother (who may or may not be evil). Glowash has been living on his own for a while now, just barley escaping death, and stealing a crystal or two from the land and making a necklace out of it so he can breathe. After a while, he left Crystal territory, and ventured into where the Sea cats normally roam, where he met Miziky and Mizama. Later on, he'll meet Alathor, and they'll all work together to rid of the monarchy and rankings of species to bring equality to all.
- (An old design trait that I thought was neat to share here, though it’s no longer canon) At night his belly was translucent and you could see his ribs.
- Sometimes, when his corruption keeps glitching out, his eyes get all dark except for his pupils and will tear up a bit.
- He liked to visit Alathor a lot when Alathor was living in the kingdoms dungeon.
- Really hates his adoptive mother, Queen Quartz.
- He’s one of my very few characters that have really good biological parents…
- Ever since he had to leave the Kingdom of Crystals, he’s been traveling around the world, hoping to find new people that can help him on his mission.

Glowash has like, the biggest crush on Miziky. The kindness in his voice, his actions, how he looks, it's all perfect in Glowash's eyes! If anybody were to hurt Miziky Glowash would hunt them down and smash their head into a brick :D!!!
They're in a relationship and Glowash will protect both Miziky and those that Miziky cares about with his life.
Glowash doesn’t mind Alathor that much, and viewed him as a friend ever since Glowash stumbled into the dungeon and found him. He was partially the reason Alathor was able to escape, and for that Alathor is grateful.
Its just how hyper Alathor can get sometimes that itches Glowash‘s nerves a bit, but someday, he’ll get over it and be used to it.
