Design notes:
Sword goes through the underside of his jaw, and up out of his forehead.
The handle of the sword is spiked with thorns both on its finger guard and on the handle, making it so in order to grab the sword, one must pay a price in blood.
This is part of a play on kelpie lore, where it's stated the only way to control a kelpie is to grab hold of its bridle.
The sword points outwards, meaning the only way to grab it's handle is from behind, or while riding in the saddle.
