BEATOPHONE was created as another Oddity among many, with their inclination being to music. As far back as anyone can remember, so long as there was the pluck of a string or the hum of a hymn, BEATOPHONE was there.. though, BEATOPHONE tends to change with the flow and modernization of melody. With every few generations, BEATOPHONE sheds its old self entirely— their form, name, personality, memories— in the process of changing with the times. It's nothing vapor has control over, just something they've had to grow and adjust with.

This particular BEATOPHONE has been on for some— sheesh, what was it again? They swear they wrote it down somewhere.. Ten or so years, now? An incredibly small amount of time to have held onto a form. Vapor is told they tend to inhibit a form for hundreds to thousands of years— so he assumes that means this one is still young and shiny.

Existence aside, the current BEATOPHONE is considered something like.. the people's hero, a title that definitely doesn't do things to vapors ego. Formed anew after however many years it was they'd held their last form, the current BEATOPHONE made itself known by charging right into the fray of keeping peace and "balance" from the many sources that tend to plague their world. He likes to think he's pretty effective at it, too— seeing as he's never lost. Really, he's foiled more plans than they can count! An impressive track record, huh? Just a shame that vapor gets all restless about collaborating with the actual authorities, peacekeepers and the like— vigilantes are just so much cooler, aren't they?

Newly formed and more than comfortable with what they do, BEATOPHONE has full intentions to keep living up to this lifestyle for as long as he can hold onto this self— which could be thousands of years to come.

BEATOPHONE doesn't remember the people they used to be, and they aren't sure how long they'll get to be the person they are now— so, they live exactly how they want and make sure nothing gets in the way of that. This is the driving force in his vigilante-esc area of profession— bad things are bad, and stop me from doing the things that I'd like. Good things are good, and let me do the things that I like. It's.. a very straight-forward way of thinking, but BEATOPHONE can't seem to understand the concept of anything further. Don't get vapor wrong, they've tried— and, on occassion, succeeded to understand some more.. complex viewpoints. But it's always... a struggle.

Whatever the case, BEATOPHONE tends to be easygoing and upholds an honest and straight-forward attitude with the people around them. He likes things that are fun, he likes things that are exciting.. and vapor makes sure that people know that! They're not one to beat around the bush when they have something on their mind and it's incredibly rare for vapor to keeps things to vaporself. He kinda feels like— if he's keeping something to himself, what was the point of thinking about it to begin with?

BEATOPHONE also tends to be a bit... self-obsessed. It doesn't come off in the oh, me, me, me! sort of manner. More of an.. overwhelming confidence in vaporself that doesn't seem to ever leave. Again, BEATOPHONE... doesn't know how long it has to be BEATOPHONE. So, they.. love themself in an abundance. If you asked BEATOPHONE what vapor disliked about vaporself, he wouldn't really have an answer.. probably just another witty quip to get you off their case, honestly.
