Dev is the unofficial leader of Team Cognito. They like to lean in to the dark imagery that their kind is assigned, wearing mostly gothic dresses and wielding a giant Achromitizer scythe. Their mask is dull, unreflective iron and their "hair" falls in a bob below their chin.

Dev was formed from the shadows of Jonah Hanegan, and they share similarities with their shadowless. They have a breezy, lighthearted attitude, but Dev seems much more ambitious than Jonah. They always have some kind of "project" going on, and the nature of said project can be vital or trivial. When asked about why they're always keeping themself busy, they'll just shrug and say it's just something they want to do.

Also unlike Jonah, Dev is bothered that they are unlike any of their kind. Their very existence calls into question the beliefs of their culture. But they aren't sure that even Jonah would understand. They're closer to him than anyone else, and yet they can't help but wonder what goes on inside his heads.

Like all changelings, Dev can dive into and traverse shadows.
