Backstory:

Flare herself is lart of a group of humanoids with the same time travelling abilities. Each individual has a celestial origin (something from space which they get their powers from). Flare gets her powers from the sun, she has a solar celestial origin. Other origins are Nebula, Void, stellar, lunar… pretty mic anything you can find in space.

These origins are usually ranked by ability level. Individuals of the same celestial origin usually also share some personality traits (lunar ones are hardworking, void ones are more withdrawn…)

Individuals with solar origin are however completely unpredictable- in power level as well as in personality level.

Since all interstellars -no matter Celestial Origin- wield a lot of power compared to the creatures in the worlds they visit, all of them need to undergo a special training.

This training consist of a total of 20 years theory about the multiverse and time. All Interstellars live together on a special campus during that time.

These 20 years are followed by a 100 year practical training. Each Interstellar accompanies an experienced, adult Interstellar. Student and mentor usually have the same celestial origin.

Once both parts are completed, the young Interstellar gets their Token of Passage. It officially allows them to travel.

Flare had been trained by the only other solar Interstellar during her practical training. He was well loved and respected for his great powers. Flare had looked up to him
and thought of it as a great honor.

But things slowly started to get worse. He became obsessed with the idea of Flare as his legacy and his training started to get worse and worse. Flare was often injured badly.

She still adored him as a mentor however and this went on for many years. No one doubted him. But his madness slowly started to show elsewhere too. And still it was Flare who started to question him. But her concerns were brushed of by other Interstellars. They said she should be glad to hate the opportunity to train with him.

40 years later it finally started to spiral out of control as her mentor made plans to summoning a galactic beast to take over the Interstellar Realm. Flare and her friends found out and started one last attempt at calling for gelp, but again, their worries were ignored.

So Flare went to confront her mentor on her own. She would either defeat him now or die. But the plan to summon the beast was already running.

It was only thanks to a petty young member of the Interstellar government who wanted to spite a collegue - a friend of Flare’s mentor- that the whole scheme was uncovered. They only had days to prepare for the attack.

Flare faced off against her mentor in a terrible battle. It went on for days. The galactic beast simultaneously attacked the army of the Interstellars and there was no one who could’ve come to support Flare.

Due to unfortunate events, both Flare and her Mentor ended up in the earth’s atmosphere where they fell.
Both survived but within the flames of the city they destroyed with their impact they fought their final battle.
Flare won, even if just barely. She was never tge same after.
