Belphegor Lestat Evergrave is known by many names depending on where you are, but most who know him just call him Saturn. Although it's well known that he comes from the Evergrave family, nobody is actually sure as to how he relates to everyone in it, himself included, as with his exact origins getting buried in the extensive family history most just refer to him as great uncle nowadays. He was born to unknown parents, his mother a mysterious woman from the Evergrave family and his father entirely unknown, but for mysterious reasons he and they became seperated, with him later being found by humans floating in a tidepool in a basket. Due to his human like appearance when he was younger he was easily mistaken for a human himself and was taken back to their village, a nondescript settlement on the Howling Coast.

Placed in a small orphanage he spent his first few years of life under the care of the owner, growing up around the other children and interacting with the villagers before being adopted at age five by a elderly widow whom he had grown close to during his time there. Under her guardianship he was very well cared for, given endless amounts of affection and attention as he grew up, even when his mother discovered his less than human origins. And while he lived a fairly solitary and uneventful life during that time, that would end at the age of ten, when he he hit a sudden growth spurt. Having entered puberty he began changing, his body undergoing a metamorphosis that made it less and less easy to hide his monsterous nature as his mother suddenly died when he reached age twelve.

While his mother had done her best to hide his origins from their neighbors, there was only so much that he could do on his own as a child without a guardian. With her sudden passing he was left in disarray, but with his growing body he was unable to go to the other villagers for help. He spent weeks hiding away in his home after his mother's death, slowly starving as his food ran low until he became nearly delirious, only managing to survive after he began eating the corpse of his former guardian out of desperation. Soon enough his neighbors began to notice his suspicious absence though, eventually leading up to them stumbling on him as they began to investigate.

Caught in the act of eating his mother's corpse and seen as a monster by the townsfolk he was quickly accused of killing her, leading to him being chased out of town by the people he was once called friends and family. Having been raised as a human he was not prepared to fight back, nor was he capable of surviving the wilderness on his own, quickly being captured and imprisoned by his pursuers, but as fate would have it he was not fated to die there. Having heard rumors of a monster being raised in a human settlement the nearby soldiers serving the Evergraves contacted their superior and marched on the town, retrieving Saturn under the guise that they were knights from the nearby kingdom come to destroy the monster.

Back under the care of his family members after over a decade of living in the coastal town he was largely disoriented, unfamiliar with the ways and customs of his kin

Extra Details

• He is nearly always accompanied by his pets, a slew of crows and giant centipedes, with the most recognized being his giant crow steed, Night.

• His nicknames are the following: Bug-a-Boo(reserved for close friends and family), Saturn, The Bogeyman, Lestat, &c.

• He has a huge libido, but despite that it's unknown if he's actually sired any children.

• He is very allergic to rue, especially Wild Rue.

• He's well recognized for his unhuman way of moving around, which many say is snake like.

• He often hides in the dark nooks and crannies of houses, preferring the undersides of beds and closets.

• He's nocturnal, usually only being super active from 7pm-7am

• He lives in a tower constructed in a deep pit in the middle of the forest, and while he has brought many people there, the few who have made it out alive never seem to recall it's exact location.

• He has iron bones.

• When it comes to his name, I used the name Belphagor instead of Beelzebub in referance to the Lanterne of Light classification, in which Belphegor is the Lord of Gluttony(i.e. Saturn eats his victims). His middle name is in referance to Lestat from Interview with a Vampire.

• He has a total of twelve eyes scattered around his body, but usually only keeps four to five of them open
