PersonalityHwajae is very self aware of his position as the discarded, disowned, and eldest son of the kingdoms matriarch. He knows better than to mess with those with more power than him, at least in his current state. He's extremely protective of his two younger siblings, Kangdae and Jiae. He tries his best to protect them from the likes of their own mother, but can see she'd already gotten through to Jiae due to her being born with the gift of inferno like she had wanted. He's very observant of others around him, but gets nervous when in social interactions that don't involve anything business related. He comes across as very put together but he is very much the opposite. He can often be seen staring off into space or at his own hands, a reminder to himself why he's going through with his secret plan.

Design NotesTrivia:- Hwajae was born with the gift of gale. When his gift surfaced at the young age of 13, his mother disowned him and he was left to be raised by the head monk to Jowangshin's temple, Juji. Luckily, Juji was born with the same gift as Hwajae, helping him hone his skills in fanning the enteral flame and in combat. As the head general, he specializes in attack and defense and carries a large shield with him. Using his wind, he can use his shield almost like a giant boomerang. He can also float due to the excess of air.
- "He can often be seen staring off into space or at his own hands, a reminder to himself why he's going through with his secret plan." Is a reference to how his younger, deceased, brother died in his arms.

- The prefix of his title "Aden" is a reference to the name and word meaning "little fire"; he was assumingly given this title before his gift had come to fruition by his mother.
