The latest descendant in a long, long line of powerful moth mages, Lux is a mysterious moth woman who lives in an isolated cottage deep within a forest said to have a strong connection with the moon. A bit of a hopeless romantic and a firm believer in the good of others, she's a kind, well-mannered and gentle soul with a heart of gold and lots of love to give. In her downtime, she runs the cafe at her local library, where she's become quite famous for her Constellation Cookies and Moonbeam Muffins! Over the years she has been called many things, from "The Lady of the Woods" to "The Maiden of the Moon," and even "Moth Mama" due to her being seen as a motherly figure to some.

Under her mother's watch, Lux spent most of her childhood in solitude training and honing her magic abilities, in hopes that she too would follow in the footsteps of her ancestors and protect the world from danger. However, no matter how hard she tried or how hard her mother pushed her, she could never seem to get it right. As the lessons grew more intense, her mother's patience grew ever thinner, and her words of encouragement soon turned into silent disapproval. Lux, feeling like her mother wanted nothing to do with her anymore, then ran away to live with her grandmother, who eventually proved to be a much better mentor for her. Additionally, she had more time to do the things she never got to do before, like going to school and making her first real friend. 

Nowadays, Lux is extremely proficient with her magic abilities, though mainly uses it for nonviolent purposes such as cleaning or healing. However, thanks to some funky bloodline shenanigans, her magic abilities are both a blessing and a curse for her: the strength and potency of Lux's magic is largely dependent on the phases of the moon, and on the night of a full moon, the magic in her body overflows and becomes extremely powerful, transforming her into a large, monstrous being known simply as "Eclipse." While in this form, Lux is sent into a frenzied state and has very little control over her magic, usually leading to her unintentionally harming those around her. Once the sun rises, she returns to her normal state, albeit completely drained of her energy and with no recollection of her prior actions. She doesn't remember when or how this phenomenon first started, nor has she found a way to stop it from happening or "cure" herself so to speak. Whatever the case, she hopes to one day illuminate this darkness within her and be free of Eclipse's grasp on her for good.
