Cerise [ Best Friend ]

Mary's loyalty to Cerise can outweigh reason.
  With a friendship that has held strong for so many years, it's hard for her to imagine a life without her best friend. Even in High School, with so many new people and experiences, Mary has always prioritized Cerise.
  Even after graduating, while most moved on, Mary has always made sure to check in on her best friend, and worries for her when she ghosts her for weeks at a time.

Josslyn [ Best Friend ]

  An odd pair, Josslyn and Mary get along rather well despite their clashing personalities. Josslyn's laid back demeanor and ability to observe things with a keen eye can occassionally get Mary to take a step back. While Mary's impulsivity and extroverted personality has dragged Josslyn into some interesting situations.   Mary admires Josslyn in a lot of ways, and wishes she was able to shrug things off as well as her. She isn't even that bothered by the chill that often surrounds her friend anymore.

Aaliyah [ Best Friend ]

  Mary loves Aaliyah, she really does, she just wished that she didn't put her in the middle of so many fights with Cerise. The two may be close friends, but they have more cat fights then any other duo as far as Mary's concerned.
  Aaliyah's beauty and confidence had been a bit intimidating to Mary when she was first getting to know Aaliyah, however a handful of panic attacks and impromptu crying sessions humanized her.
  AS supportive of each other as they are, Aaliyah always seemed a bit untouchable, too focused on success in the future than the rest of the group.

Karson [ Younger Brother ]

  Mary's relationship with Karsen is estranged, despite living with each other. Their interests don't overlap, and they have gotten used to doing their own things and living their own lives. They're vaguely aware of each other's friend, at least by name.
  There is a part of Mary that wishes they were able to close the rift between them, even just a bit. However it was never enough to be a priority. She knows her brother is fine, living through his mundane preteen years. There's no need to force bonding with him.

Piper [ Cousin ]

  Growing up, Mary and Piper had been inseperable. With a small age gap, Piper had taken the roll as older sister to Mary, and the latter moving away had been hard on both of them. They keep in touch as much as possible, even if growing older has affected both their lives in different ways.
  Mary has always admired Piper, and hopes to become just as happy with her place in life as her cousin seems to be.
