“Maggie”, nicknamed by few and nickname used by even fewer, is the 56 year old woman in charge of the local wildlife stop- and is one of its very few employees. Is consistently on the other end of the Sheriff’s ire- mostly because people always call her first about animal incidents instead of him, and he can’t meet his quota. Not that she cares.
Speaks very little, and even then- mostly only to animals. If every other human on the planet disappeared, she probably wouldn’t notice for a month. A “do no harm, take no shit” kind of lady.
...Also a werewolf, evidently- one who any others in town seem to treat as an authority.
