🦖 Originally, I wanted Vinny to just be there for comic relief. But after years of thinking it over and actually developing my characters, I decided that there’s much more to him than that.

🪖As a Marine, he exhibits extreme determination and strength under fire. At the beginning of the story, he sustains an unspecified injury (hence the bandages). One theory I had is that he hit his head and can’t remember much. Still, he tries to fight harder than anyone else, and won’t hesitate to risk his own life for his buddies. Mad Sal is fueled by spite, Tommy is fueled by vengeance, and Jim is fueled by the will to survive…but perhaps Vinny is fighting for something a bit more honorable.

🦴 Vin always had a strong connection with creatures of the past. Sometimes, he would go out with friends to find fossils and old pottery in the New Mexican desert. 

Also, if you’re wondering about the long hair…my soldiers are fighting in French forests. I was going for some kind of tough, Rambo vibe for this guy.
