Detailed Summary
A main character from a webcomic I'm working on! For a spoiler free summary: When Lyle was a young child, he and his family went on a hiking trip that ended in tragedy. Lyle's dad and sibling were killed by a "rabid animal," and while Lyle and his mom made it out alive, Lyle was left a large scar across his face, a severely weak leg from where he fell, and some spinal injuries that never quite healed right. Lyle also developed lycanthrop. In Lyle's case, this left him with the ability to shift into varying degrees of fox. For example, he can fully turn into a fox, or shift only parts of his body into those of a fox. That said, he doesn't shift often at the start of the comic, due to his uncle's bigotry.

A year before the start of the comic, Lyle's mom passed away. Since Lyle can't live on his own (for fear of falling), he lives with his uncle in Lakewind. He loathes his uncle, however, since his uncle refuses to do more than the bare minimum to accommodate his disability and is generally a bigoted person.

When alone, Lyle is confident, with an analytical mind. Around other people, though, he can tend to get flustered, especially if he doesn't know them well. He's very generous to those he likes, and can be a bit of a 'mother hen' at times. Mateo loves how earnest he is, and Charlotte generally likes his company, later on admiring his resilience dealing with his lycanthropy.

Lyle enjoys painting, as it calms him down. His favorite medium is watercolor. Gardening is a way for him to stay active in his own room. He's a bookworm and reads all kinds of stuff, both fictional and nonfictional. During his extended hospital stays as a kid, he'd watch a lot of nature documentaries. His favorites were the ones about natural disasters; he found them intriguing and the stories inspiring.
