Allison Hollis was born on June 10th, 1843 during the Victorian era. He was raised in a very poor family that made their living by sending the children, along with the parents, to work at a factory. He was the youngest out of five siblings. One day, Allison travelled with just his father to London to see the Great Exhibition. His parents had been saving their money to take their son who still had an education ahead of him, to inspire him to find a better career than them. He was inspired by all of the inventions, he studied hard in school and learned about steam powered machines. During his freetime, Allison would sneak off and experiment/build machines. Often, they would go haywire and probably start on fire, but sometimes they worked. This was all little Allison needed to inspire him. He would find the pieces he needed for his machines in junk yards and the discarded pieces of the factory. Eventually, Allison went on to become a great inventor and scientist for his time.
