Race: Owlin

Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of yourself as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.

Flight. Thanks to your wings, you have a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You can't use this flying speed if you're wearing medium or heavy armor.

Silent Feathers. You have proficiency in the Stealth skill.

Agonizing Blast. When you cast eldritch blast, add your Charisma modifier to the damage it deals on a hit.

Fey Presence. Your patron bestows upon you the ability to project the beguiling and fearsome presence of the fey. As an action, you can cause each creature in a 10-foot cube originating from you to make a Wisdom saving throw against your warlock spell save DC. The creatures that fail their saving throws are all charmed or frightened by you (your choice) until the end of your next turn. Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

Beguiling Influence. You gain proficiency in the Deception and Persuasion skills.

Pact of the Talisman. Your patron gives you a talisman that can aid the wearer when the need is great. When the wearer fails an ability check, they can add a d4 to the roll, potentially turning the roll into a success. This benefit can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and all expended uses are restored when you finish a long rest.

Pre-Campaign

Raised by her single father in the Druidic village of Featherhaven, this small town is all Idris Mel Moonbeam has ever known. Idris always had strange and vivid dreams. Being surrounded by many magic users and fey energy, this wasn't seen as particularly unusual to the people around them. What was unusual, however, was the fact that her dreams occasionally predicted the future. This often caused her confusion, as she sometimes mistook them for reality and vice versa. They stopped sharing about them at an early age to avoid recieving unwarrented advice or concern. She isn't too keen on people making a spectacle out of her, and just wants to be herself without being bothered for it.

Their father is a gentle owlin sorcerer who is part of her hometown’s coven of witches, which operates as Featherhaven’s unofficial governing body. Growing up, Idris would see (but seldom properly meet) many people who visited their father for advice or magical assistance.

One of Featherhaven's coven members- an old owlin woman named Seline- gifted Idris her signature sleeping mask after hearing about her odd dreams. Upon wearing it to bed, they were visited by Zybilna in a dream. That night her pact was formed, and she accepted by taking the pendant left on her bedside table by the archfey once she woke. For once, they felt understood. That warm presence has stayed with them since, although it has faded in the past year and a half.

Personality


Personality

Idris has a strong inclination to help, which is partially due to their nature as a person, but also influenced by their environment. Because Featherhaven is a small town, everyone was expected to help the community in some way from a young age, and this cultural belief is something that Idris has taken to heart. When Idris was around 13, they had a dream that someone was lost in the surrounding jungle. They rushed outside in the dead of night to help, and succeeded in delivering the person to safety. This was her first taste of adventure.

Idris discovered early on that they had an affinity for helping people sleep, whether that be by making herbal teas, singing lullabies, hypnosis, or using her warlock magic. By 16, townsfolk began seeking her aid if they or anyone they knew was having trouble sleeping. They quite enjoy helping people feel relaxed and safe in general.
