Kenzo is a thoughtful traveler, one who's seen a lot of darkness in his lifetime, but still tries his best to stay positive. He spent much of his youth bitter and angry about the curse he suffers, misunderstanding it and what it could be- and in the process making it worse and making his outlook even more dour. However, he's long since matured and come to an understanding of the world that makes it easier for him to wish good luck on others and seek out the joy and light around him instead.

He is much more of an observer, and prefers to help in the background rather than be on the front lines of any situation. This includes his children often- as while he can be fatherly, he prefers to simply guide them to learning for themselves and help them see the world on their own terms rather than his own. He's a bit of a loner, though he's friendly and happy to help those around him when the need arises. He has no mean bone in his body, though he will certainly fight to protect those things that are dear to him- including his family and the things that are important to them.

He loves nature and flowers, and warm sunny days. He loves new people and cultures, and exploring what these things mean. He's fascinated by other religions and artisan crafts and all the things that can be created by the world around him by the hands of those with creativity and imagination. 

He's a skilled survivalist, and due to his travels he's become a bit of a jack of all trades. While he's not really an expert in much, he knows a bit about almost anything (Including a lot of things you wouldn't expect him to pull out of nowhere). He's a great teacher and storyteller, along with being adaptable and resourceful to whatever life throws at him. He's very fatherly- especially to other younger kits/children, even if they are not his own. 

He has very strong common/emotional sense and ability to act under pressure, but he's not very book smart and a lot of numbers or big words will probably confuse/overwhelm him. 

His biggest flaw is that he's sometimes quite overcritical of himself, getting frustrated or annoyed if something he's done somehow harms or bothers someone else. He can get quite flustered around his own failures- despite the fact he's very accepting of the failures of others. He also tends to work himself up into a fuss and when he falls into one of his bad moods (whether its depressed or self loathing), it can be hard for him to work his way out of it -due to the fact he brings bad luck to others during this time which as a domino effect of making his mood even worse and creating a cycle. Luckily- over time he's become better at fighting these off and his family is always able to help cheer him up. Around them, he's more frequently seen in his good luck form instead. 

Kenzo never knew his parents, but in some way (That he himself is unware of) they crossed a god of luck, causing him to be cursed at an early age in retaliation. He developed a curse of luck, that caused him to bring luck to those around him based on his own outlook on life. When upset or angry, those around him are cursed with bad misfortune, while conversely- if he's happy and full of joy, he brings good luck to those around him. Naturally, his youth was very difficult. The ebb and flow of dealing with the trials of growing up often left him struggling with self doubt and confusion- making him hurt those around him by bringing them negative luck, sending him into a horrid funk that turned him into a bitter and angry person which only made it worse.

He travelled to try and avoid hurting people for any longer than needed- aimless and homeless, until eventually meeting Hareta, who was able to patiently teach him to appreciate the world around him and open his eyes to the possibilities that came with being so open minded and kind to others. This greatly improved his outlook...showing him-and others, another side to his curse- that it could also be a blessing. Like finding light in the darkest days, he too could bring good luck despite the shadows that had engulfed his life in the past.

He spent some time with her in her village, even becoming parents. He was there for his children's early youth, before the wanderlust set in and he began to travel again for some time. This was never permanent, as he frequently stopped to see them, sent back letters and gifts, and generally told them stories of the world outside in the hopes they would be able to find such wonder themselves someday.

Eventually though, he tires of his travels for good, returning to his home to settle with his beloved and be a beacon of wisdom for his children as they set out to make their own ways in the world- a constant rock for them to return to when they need his help.
