Alabaster is a vampire lord who was kicked from his wealth and thus forced to flee to North America.
He's a very pompous vampire, being irresistibly attractive to mortals have given him a big ego. A show off. Incredibly charming. Witty. Will tell little white lies to gain the favors of others.
When alone with Lea, that's when he shows his more caring side. He loves Lea with all his heart and wants to shower her with lavish gifts and all she asks for. Even if she's just fine with him being there. While he's disappointed that he wasn't the one to turn her, thus losing the more intimate moment to experience all of her deepest beings; he's glad that he was able to meet her in his timeline.

Background
He was born into a wealthy family, as the sole child and future lord of the house. After having him, his parents strived for other children, but couldn't bare any due to miscarriages. So because of that, Alabaster was given all that he could desire and more, he was still missing something.
His family had many enemies that Alabaster was unaware of. They wanted his family's wealth and a fraction of the power they held. Alabaster was kept unaware since he was still young, and his parents didn't want him to shoulder that burden yet.
One night, one of the groups working against his family, set fire to his mansion.
Alabaster was the only one to survive, as he was going on one of his nightly walks. All his siblings, grandparents and his parents perished that night.
All alone in the world, Alabaster wandered around, scared and hungry; until he ran into a vampire Queen, who offered him immortality for his permanent loyalty. Figuring that becoming immortal was better than death at the time, he accepted. He was turned and was loyal to a fault. And then the rest of the coven staged a rebellion on the queen, and Alabaster joined in.
After the queen was slain, he ran away to America to experience the roaring 20s, and that's where he met Lea.
